  1. Consumers Control Online Marketing…Yes?

    July 26, 2012 by admin

Traditional marketing, such as TV and radio, really kept the power of marketing in the hands of the business. Online marketing is completely different as it gives anyone in the online world power over your marketing efforts. Anyone can write about you and/or your business and, if they have a following, it can make a huge impact in all your efforts across the board!

  4. How the Heck do I Become a YouTube Partner?

    July 18, 2012 by admin

If you are to the point in your YouTube marketing where you are ready to go to the next level – OR even just wanting to have a YouTube business and wondering why some Channels look different than others – you may be ready to become a YouTube Partner! (Here’s a quick video of me with some YouTube Partners if you are wondering who some YouTube Partners are: http://thebartmiller.com/vidcon-2012-yeah-baby)

But WHAT is a YouTube Partner, WHY do you want to be one, and HOW do you become one? I’m going to shed a little light on the subject!

    WHAT is a YouTube Partner?
A YouTube Partner is a YouTube program that will give your YouTube marketing some HUGE extra benefits, resources, and opportunities. The program really gives its partners a boost in building larger audiences and in earning more money….and….it’s FREE! BUT you have to be accepted.

HOW Do I Become a YouTube Partner?
There used to be certain parameters and applications that needed to be filled out and sent in to YouTube if you wanted to become a YouTube Partner. If you met all of YouTube’s criteria you were then accepted into the Partner program.

Now, however, things have changed…and I do think we will see a bit more change before we know it. If you want to be a YouTube Partner right now you basically need to make sure your YouTube Channel is in good standing with YouTube and you have to have original content. That means if you are a musician you cannot do cover songs and become a YouTube partner. It has to be your own work and creation…even to the point that you cannot use licensed music in your video’s background (without first obtaining a license to use it…)….if you know what I mean!

If your YouTube account is in good standing and you are creating your own, original videos you will receive an email saying something like, “Congratulations! Your account is ready to monetize” and then it will walk you through how to enable monetization on your videos.

From there we just have to wait until YouTube unrolls the rest of their plan and accepts you into their Partner Program!

  5. YouTube Marketing and Tacks in the Road at The Tour De France

    July 17, 2012 by admin

I LOVE cycling as much as I LOVE Internet marketing, continuity programs, and creating videos (you can see all my videos in my vLog at http://www.bartallanmiller.com). I’ve been watching the Tour De France and was amazed at what I saw when somebody threw a bunch of tacks across the road.

It made me think about my own life and what I would have done in that situation as well as how that particular situation can be applied to our businesses and our lives. Here’s what I came up with:

    1. A good team can get you through anything, even in the most inconvenient of times.

    2. There are still true leaders making a difference in the world…we should strive to do the same.

    3. Professionalism trounces cutthroat tactics every time.

    4. Make the right choice just because it is the right thing to do.

    5. Help others whenever you can!

Thanks to Bradley Wiggins and the Tour de France boys for being gentlemen…and, at the same time, some of the world’s toughest competitors.

    July 16, 2012 by admin

Yeah, yeah, yeah…we all “know” we should be in social media. But why? This video is a little longer, but I go into detail about:

    1. Who’s in your network? Do you know who the influencers are?
    2. Don’t judge! My story about a filthy guy who spent $40,000 with me
    3. Value? Add some by doing this!

  7. YouTube Marketing Tip #6: Using Your Environment and Recording with an iPhone

    July 13, 2012 by admin

Your YouTube videos don’t have to be recorded on a $6,000 camera – you can use your iPhone! But keep your environment in mind and use it to your best advantage.

For example…if you are recording a guitar segment, put some guitars on the walls or around you…and try to look like you are in a music studio environment or something that will be noticeable and add to the feeling of the video versus a sterile environment or something in the background that actually detracts instead of adding to the value of what you are trying to get across in your video.
